The demanding event will start 14.15 from Wincanton Racecourse. Special Tests will be held on private land in the Ilminster area and Mere area and finish back at the racecourse at 21.30. ‘Targa in the Dark’ entry list opens on Monday 4th September. 75 cars are expected with a good proportion of younger crews eager to enter who want to enjoy and further their motor sport experience with an adventurous rally partly held in the dark.
Dave Whittock, Bath Motor Club Chairman commented; “This is why this invaluable sponsorship from David Appleby Engineering is so important and so timely as we have many eager crews ready to enter, especially the younger navigators and drivers keen to progress in the sport.
“This is great news for grass roots motor sport in the region as the support will allow us to not only to secure and grow the event, but to collaborate on future opportunities. We are very grateful to Managing Director James Appleby and the founder David Appleby.”
James Appleby MD of David Appleby Engineering was equally pleased with the prospects;
“It’s great to have the opportunity to help Bath Motor Club with Targa in the Dark. Motor sport is part of our business so we are excited to be involved. With over 30 years experience, David Appleby Engineering has an enviable reputation within the motor sport industry.
